The tension between the power and fragility of nature and memory is Margaret Moore’s inspiration. It leads to work in different media – sculpture, photography, print, film, sound and installation.
In her practice Margaret considers history and heritage in relation to our increasingly globalised world. Collecting and cataloguing photographs and cuttings are an important part of the process.
Currently she examines these concerns through painting and printing onto fragile, transparent fabrics. She enjoys the freedom of working on textiles which provide a multi-sensorial approach and tactility so important to her interactive pieces.
